Let me indtroduce myself: my background is in environmental studies and I have taught environment-related courses at La Cite College and University of Ottawa. I am also a consultant as a former member of the Ottawa Food policy Council and a presentor for Scientist in School. I started making foodwraps last summer (2017) and believe that by minimizing our use of plastic we can help change the world. The wraps can be used for up to one year and are hand-crafted in Ottawa. Beeswax has natural antibacterial properties. And, unlike plastic wrap, which completely seals food, beeswax wrap breathes and can be formed by the warmth of your hand. They are also made of recycled cotton.
Mission 100 Tonnes is a great wave of citizen collaboration that aims to clean our waterways of its waste, and to take action in our daily lives to reduce our use of plastics. The Mission belongs to everyone, and our goal is to highlight the good moves and inspiring stories of those who take inspirational actions, and especially to prove that everyone can be part of the solution. Together, we change the world.

One Card at a Time is a company that has the mission to change the world ... One card at a time! Nothing less... Since 2013, (PapierPlantable.com) we help schools and organizations in their fundraising. Indeed, rather than selling chocolate or oranges, we offer Plantable Greeting Cards. Our cards are made of 100% recycled paper inside which seeds of wild flowers have been inserted. The person who will receive a plantable card, can, once it has read its content, put it in the ground and it will turn into a pretty bouquet. More and more people were asking us to be able to buy our cards without a fundraising campaign ... So, a Carte à la Fois.ca was issued last June.
